COVID -19 Update 2
Preparing to Return to Practice
As some areas of the UK move into the second phase of COVID-19 pandemic management the implementation of the re-opening of some non COVID healthcare pathways are now in place. Whilst the initial stages of phase two management are not a return to normal business practices across all sectors,
there is an increasing requirement for face-to-face treatments in the private and independent sectors for patients seeking physical interventions.
As of 21 May, it is the view of the British Acupuncture Council that normal practice continues to be suspended unless treatments can be determined as ‘urgent care’.
In order to provide urgent care I will be:
- ensuring the practice is assessed and deemed to be ‘COVID-19 secure’
- following BAcC Covid-19 secure guidelines
- maintaining accurate records of any risk assessments undertaken
- following devolved government guidelines for the area
Should you wish to consider treatment, I am advising all patients to contact me firstname.lastname@example.org and I will conduct a risk assessment based on your individual circumstances and liaise directly with you regarding the extra measures and precautions taken during this time.
